St. Moritz – a perfect holiday destination in the middle of the Swiss Alps

Right after completing our mechanical engineering from McMaster University, we went on a month long Euro-trip covering Switzerland, Spain, France, Italy, Netherlands and Germany. We drove from Italy to Switzerland to explore St. Moritz, a beautiful city surrounded by green forests, crystal clear lakes and snow covered mountains. The city is popular across the globe for its luxury tourism, expensive resorts, shopping, restaurants and delicious Swiss chocolates. Since we were on a student budget, we booked an exquisite hostel with 6 bunk beds that had an unparalleled view of the majestic Alps. Did you know that St. Moritz has hosted the Winter Olympics twice so far? It is a perfect place for those who enjoy winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding or snow polo.
