Enjoy an amazing view of Los Angeles from Mulholland Drive

After visiting both the East Coast and the West Coast, I would have to say that sunny California is my favourite state in the entire U.S.A. I did like the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, New York, but I totally fell in love with the laid back lifestyle of San Francisco. When we were travelling through the West Coast, we went on one of the most memorable road trips of my life. We started from Las Vegas and drove through Los Angeles to San Francisco.

After enjoying the night life of vibrant Las Vegas, we took a stop at Hoover Dam on our way to L.A. If you are a fan or architecture, engineering or history, you should definitely check out this massive dam. We didn’t take the guided tour, but just walking along the dam can leave you speechless. The massive turbines of the dam have been producing electricity for over 80 years. If you visit Las Vegas, you should definitely stop by Hoover Dam. It is only 40 minute drive away from Vegas.

19 For some reason it makes you feel like you living the Hollywood dream. Besides exploring scenic Mulholland Drive and admiring the iconic Hollywood sign, we also visited Universal Studios Hollywood and the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.

After visiting L.A. we headed to San Francisco. Our first stop in San Francisco was the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge. We got lucky that day since it wasn’t too foggy. If we had been there a few days earlier, we wouldn’t have been able to see the bridge at all due to heavy fog. The Golden Gate Bridge connects San Francisco to Marin County and stands proudly as the tallest bridge in US. Did you know that the roadway of this suspension bridge can literally move up and down by as much as 15 feet? It has been painted bright reddish orange to provide a better visibility during heavy fog days. This iconic bridge has been featured in more than 20 films and is said to be the most photographed one.
