Akbar’s Tomb in Agra displays some of the finest works of Mughal architecture. Unique text and fascinating design elements inspired by numerous cultures make this architectural marvel an unforgettable sight. This tomb holds the mortal remains of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. Even though he was believed to be the most powerful and able ruler of the Mughal dynasty, Akbar supervised the construction of the tomb himself during his lifetime. The rest of the tomb was completed by his son Jahangir after Akbar’s death.
