We all know Hong Kong as one of the most thriving cities of the world due to its booming economy, dynamic culture and remarkable culinary expertise. With no sales tax, it attracts shoppers from across the globe all around the year. However, last time when we visited Hong Kong, we explored a fun side of the city and became kids again at Disneyland.
As soon as you hear Disneyland, the image of Mickey Mouse comes to mind. Although it’s aimed at a younger demographic, we had a lot of fun since it was our first time going to Disneyland. The vibrant Flight of Fantasy Parade was nothing like I had ever seen before. All the major Disney characters made an appearance in colourful costumes. Spectacular floats combined with joyful Disney soundtrack made the parade even more enjoyable.
We saw Mickey and friends, Winnie and the whole gang, all the Disney princesses including Belle, Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty as well as the entire Jungle Book team. All the characters dancing and singing wearing bright costumes definitely brought back some childhood memories.
If you want to make sure you get the best spot to enjoy the parade, check the parade timings as well as the starting point and plan your day accordingly. Try to reach your desired spot 15 minute before the parade starts as it gets really crowded. If by any chance you miss the beginning of the parade, you can catch up by following the parade route that is marked on the guide map of Disneyland. Typically the parade starts at 3:30 every day, but sometimes it varies depending on special holidays or festivals. So it’s better to check the parade timings beforehand to make sure you don’t miss any exciting parts.
After watching the entire parade and enjoying some fun rides, we ended the day by watching amazing Disney fireworks at around 8:30 pm.
